No Adult Classes! Monday the 20th is the anniversary of Bruce Lee’s passing in 1973. As many of you know, like many other teenagers at the time, I was greatly influenced by the whole “everybody was kung-fu fighting” era. It’s safe to say I wouldn’t be teaching today if not for that time in history. To commemorate this, there will be a showing of “Enter the Dragon: Extended Edition” at the dojo (adult class only). The movie will start at roughly 6:30 pm. There will be pizza, but you should bring your own beverage. Donations are always welcome. Anyone who wears a Bruce Lee t-shirt or any other type memorabilia, there will be a special prize.
Only one more month of summer and I am making another change to the adult schedule starting August 1st. Tuesday’s 7 pm Kobudo class will be changed to Saturday at 10:30 am. Saturday’s 9 am Japanese Jujutsu will now be Tuesday evening from 7-8 pm. Saturday’s Black Belt class will be from 9-10:30 am. The new summer schedule is available in hard copy at the dojo.
NOTE: We are postponing Wednesday night classes in Hays Park for now due to poor air quality.
Starting August 12th through September 2nd, Wednesday night classes will be held at Hays Park, located at Crestline and Providence. Please be sure to bring your own water.
