Halloween Party

A Howling Good Time!

Our annual Halloween Party for the kids of the Dojo was met with great enthusiasm with over seventy kids in attendance. There was every manner of ghouls, goblins, ninjas, Power Rangers, etc. The kids participated in all kinds of games and contests to keep the fun going, especially fun was the Mummy Wrap contest. The older kids were divided up into groups and given rolls of toilet paper with instructions to wrap a chosen person of their group into a "mummy". After the games, everyone sat down to feast on the goodies galore.

During all this activity, the parents were busy chosing the best costume in five different categories:

  • The Scariest - Nicholas Kim as a Mummy
  • The Cutest - Alexis Roberts as Madeline
  • The Strangest - Nathan Everett as a silver alien
  • The Silliest - Cute Little Elephant (unnamed child)
  • Most Original - Matthew Morse as a Rastafarian.

Everyone seemed to have a great time and I even survived the chaos. An enormous thank you to all the parents who provided treats and helped with the festivities. Thanks again to Linda & Laura Hagenbarth and to my daughters, Jennifer & Rachel for their help. And of course, thank you to all my wonderful young students for coming and having such a good time.
